I animated a little BMO walk cycle in TVPaint!
After my last animation post, someone suggested that I try out the animation program TVpaint, since it has a raster-based drawing interface.  I have to say, I really like a lot of what It can do. I’m still getting used to its little oddities, but i can see myself doing more with it.

Still messing around with animating in flash. This took far too many layers.

One of my favorite moments in Alterniabound was Aradiabot’s messed up blink sequence when she didn’t know how to react.

I wanted to recreate that, and use it to figure out how to draw things in photoshop, then export them to flash to be animated. I drew the main picture first, then drew each eye change separately, so I could just drop them into the timeline in the proper places.

It looks odd, so I made a regular blink sequence for contrast.

Still haven’t quite figured out flash objects, and flash doesn’t make it easy to edit things once they’re in place, but I’ll get there.

Bob-omb walk cycle! It was challenging, figuring out all the moving bits, but I had a good time with it.

Animated in flash!

You guys.

Animating is the best. I think I’ve made the right choice for a career path.

I am learning how to animate in flash. It is very exciting!

Here is my first walk cycle.
